And How Was Your Day?

It's 12:01 a.m., March 18, 2009. I think the siege is over ... for now! As the sun rises today, may Paradise be returned to some semblance of what makes us special. Three ships were in full view today -- maybe four, I didn't venture by Port #2 today. We're only venturing where we think we must these days. Trying as the times may be, vgilant as the eyes can see.

Oh, guess what, yesterday, another driver pulled up close to my lane & asked if I had any of that MonaVie Active in my car. I said, yes, of course. Exactly one minute later from an oncoming lane, a familiar Public Defender yelled that he needed some more of that thing 'cause he felt he was coming down with something & had to get in attack mode. So, you see, we're still functioning ... & that was totally unpredictable. Ah, the power of the brand!

So we'll be brave today and feel confident that you'll have a great day also!

Good Morning! I know u must be wondering when I'll discuss acai. Gosh, there's so much to-do about this wonderful fruit & health phenomenon! Frankly, I'm one of those research-driven kind of folks so I can say whatever I want, it's up to you to do your own diggin' -- you'll be surprised what you will find. And I don't mean from the commercial point of view, I mean the nuts 'n' bolts of the acai, the real deal! But, the day is quite young. I do see one cruise ship. Hope our visitors can share in what makes us attractive -- beautiful assets! Should I name them? Hint -- I started Today's News with one of them! Have a FUNderful weekend!

Today's News!

Today, we're recovering from yesterday's sadness involving our island youth. But, we had great news from those who visited with us from far ports & those were assisted in beautifying our islands. Today, I also spoke with Tiff who is so excited about her acceptance in University of Iowa's Interdisciplinary Summer Undergraduate Research Program in Genetics. Wow! She's 20! Can you imagine what we'll be discussing by the time Tiff is 25? Share your thoughts!

Greetings, All! Today & tomorrow, we begin the celebration of appx 12,000 visitors to our tiny island. And all I hear is how bad traffic will be. No commentary re number of visitors who may hopefully be repeaters in years ahead. Oh, no! Just inconvenience we will experience b/c global warriors want 2c what we're all about & selected this destination as a favored spot, whether from word-of-mouth, recommendation, or research. C'mon, fellow Virgin Islanders, roll out red carpet. Our livelihood depends on it! Have u heard any news lately? We have hard choices to make & they chose 2 spend an entire day with us! Drum roll ... all ashore!

P.S. Let's keep Boston's Mur in our thoughts; she's in consultation today for life's challenges!

Friends, another two weeks have flown off the calendar & gone where, I have no idea! A breath of BVI fresh air sailed into town this past weekend. Phew! What a weekend it has been. And so the beat goes on & on! A trip to Saint Maarten is on the horizon; a trip to Mississippi is on the horizon; a trip to Orlando is on the horizon. Hmmmmm, we'll see how it all goes. Until then, have a FUNderful week!

Ah, friends & guests! So much has transpired since your last visit. The VI continues to bear witness to the fragility of lives ... some young, some old ... who, for whatever reason, have ended their lives ... whether from the ravages of disease (dis-ease) or from the ravages of societal madness (relentness violence). And yesterday we awoke to many tragedies. Let's not forget Teacher Mel (Melsada Cameron Romney) who has left us at the tender age of 74. A bright star from the British Virgin Islands, Teacher Mel has truly left her mark in many of our lives. And my bestest friend in the whole wide world, Mur, texted me with a new challenge. We have lifted her up in thought, in spirit, and in many manners of prayer. Go, Mur, it's your show, it's your stage, & we're pulling the curtain halfway; the rest is up to you!
